Bunbury Forum Redevelopment - Here, Now
Through this redevelopment Bunbury Forum aims to become the first regional shopping centre in WA to have a major national department store and is currently negotiating with a leading national player to anchor the second stage of its redevelopment. We want, as we believe the community does, such an exciting development in Bunbury, “Here and Now.”
Bunbury Forum aims to grow substantially to around 36,000 square metres of retail floor space; a further 65 speciality stores, extended three level car park and department store. It already has approval for 31,000sqm and requires approval for around another 5,000sqm for the department store.
Bunbury Forum believes that people living in the South West now expects first class shopping experiences with retailers they would expect to find in any capital city.
Depending on council and other planning approvals construction could commence in 2012 and be complete by 2015. It is estimated the redevelopment would create in excess of 300 jobs during the construction stage and more than 450 permanent jobs once complete.
